10 Incredible Natural Wonders

Our planet is full of incredible natural landscapes. And most of us may never be given the opportunity to travel to these wonderful destinations, at least we can admire their beauty from the comfort of our own home. Here are 10 spectacular natural sights our planet has to offer:

1. Fly Geyser, Nevada, USA
While this geyser is not 100% natural, it was formed by an accident. In 1964 drilling for sources of geothermal energy caused minerals to rise up into what we are able to see today.
2. Great Blue Hole, Belize
The Great Blue Hole measures 300 meters across and up to 125 meters deep. This place has been earmarked as one of the best places on the planet for scuba diving.
3. Plitvicer Seen, Croatia
What you see here are 16 Plitvice Lakes arranged in steps, linked by waterfalls. They can be explored by walkways (as pictured) or by boat.
4. Zangye Danxia, China
How wonderful are these sandstone landforms of Zange Danxia? They come in colorful formations, each layer revealing thousands upon millions of years of history and prehistory.

5. Striped icebergs, Antarctica
Antarctica is adorned with out-of-this-world natural wonders in shades of white, blue (and sometimes, stripes).
6. The Door to Hell, Turkmenistan
The doorway to hell, located in the Karakum Desert, has been burning brightly for over 40 years. Natural gases were discovered there when drilling at the site.
7. Côte d'Albâtre, France
The White Cliffs of Normandy are spectacular. The chalk-white Alabaster Coast stretches for 80 miles and rises up to 100 meters high.
8. Bryce Canyon, USA
While Grand Canyon may be more famous, Bryce Canyon is just as impressive -it sits at over 2000 meters above sea level in Utah.
9. Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia
This fascinating salt lake covers 10,582 sq km and resembles a mirror-smooth frozen lake. Beautiful!
10. Pamukkale, Turkey
Many are drawn to the surreal beauty of these mineral hot springs in Denizli Province in south-west Turkey. Access to the area is now restricted though in the hope that its natural wonder will be preserved.
