Are You 1 of the Few People with These Unique Body Traits?

Every individual is unique in their own ways, sometimes even more than we think. And while we may have the same number of limbs and similar features, small details can distinguish us from one another. Here are 10 unusual features of the human body that we rarely notice. Do you possess any of these unique features?

1. No wisdom teeth
unique body features
Did you know that 20% of people don't have wisdom teeth. Their occurrence varies across different populations. In fact, almost 100% of indigenous Mexicans don't have wisdom teeth, while practically all Tasmanian aborigines do. The difference lies in the genes.
2. Blue eyes
unique body features
It is believed that the blue eye color is due to a mutation in the HERC2 gene which leads to reduced melanin production in the iris. As a matter of fact, only 8% of all people have blue eyes.
3. Morton's toes
unique body features
10% of people have Morton's toe - a foot structure where the first toe is shorter than the second. Did you know that the Statue of Liberty also has feet of this kind?
4. Hair whorl
unique body features
If you are among 10% of the population who are left handed, you may be among 8.4% of the population who have a counterclockwise hair whorl on their head.
5. Sneezing
unique body features
Approximately 25% of all people have an unusual reaction to sunlight, triggering them to sneeze. The exact terminology is known as the photic sneeze reflex.

6. Single palmar crease
unique body features
Also known as a 'simian crease', this is found in 1.5% of the population, predominantly males, and is a hereditary trait.
7.  Light hair
unique body features
Hair tends to darken with age meaning that natural blonds among adults are rare. Fair-haired adults in the population vary from 2% to 16%.
8. Fingerprints
unique body features
You may be surprised to discover that only 5% of the population have arch-shaped fingerprints. Most common are loop-shaped, accounting for 65% and whorl-shaped, accounting for 30%.
9. Red hair
unique body features
An even rarer occurrence are redheads, which only make up 1 to 2% of the planet's population. Genetic mutation is what causes the hair color.
10. Outie navel
unique body features
10% of adults have an inverted navel. But, despite what most people may believe, the shape of the navel doesn't depend on the way the umbilical cord is cut at birth. What matters is how the scar heals afterwards.
Bonus! Heart on the right
Were you aware that 1 person out of 12,019 has their heart on the right side of the chest? Known as dextrocardia, this usually doesn't have any negative consequences.
